NEED CLARITY ON BONE MARROW, IHC
My son has a recurrence of the disease (left distal end of radius) for Stage IV Ewing's Sarcoma after 16 cycles from Feb 2019 to Mar 2020. A bone marrow test was done last week and they have sent it for IHC. However, before this recurrence a bone marrow test was done after 6 chemo cycles and it turned out to be NEGATIVE. Kindly explain the correlation between BONE MARROW TEST, BIOPSY and IHC and why these are done. Attached biopsy report and latest CT scan report.

As per scan there is recurrence U have not provided complete bone marrow biopsy report I assume it’s positive now n previously it was negative Correlation is like this If bone marrow is positive- we are not able to do high dose chemo n followed by bone marrow transplant- which is one of the option in recurrence of disease If bone marrow is negative, we collect the stem cell n we can use the above mentioned option Please get back to me for other queries if any thanks
