..what should i do to improve my concentration?Anxiety is killing me from inside. I can't sleep properly at night i wake up frequently. Both of my parents do job. And when I'm not going to college or tuitions, i feel very lonely. Even sometimes when I'm with my friends i feel isolated or being cornered in spite of knowing that they love me and they have no intentions to hurt me. Doctor's have prescribed me 'tryptomer 10 mg' tablet. Which is a anti-anxiety medicine. I use to worry about everything, Specially about my health because I'm very much scared of death after seeing my close friend & and two of my relatives sufferings before death. Very minor health problem makes me wonder what will happen if I die. Because of those anxiety and stress I'm having IBS problem. I really want to be optimistic in life. What should I do?

The first thing you would do is 4-7-8 breathing. It is done like this: for 4 seconds, take a deep inhale through your nose. Then hold that breath for 7 seconds. Exhale through pursed lips for 8 seconds. Repeat that three times. It's really important that you focus on the counting during this process. Don't just inhale and exhale for roughly 4 and 7 seconds. Really count.
You are doing three things:
You are taking control of your situationYou are giving your body much needed oxygenBy focusing on the counting, you are diverting your mind's attention away from the thing that is causing you anxiety.
You can do this often throughout the day but in the beginning, you should repeat this for no more than 3 or 4 sets at a time.
