Negative thoughts
My mother is suffering from depression from last 8 months. She took several medicines from different doctors consultation 15 days course for each. She now refuses to take any medicines. She lost all hopes and wanted to die.
Please suggest immediate solution for it.
It will be grateful if someone can answer this.

Hello. Thanks for reaching out. A 15 day medicine course will not help anyone overcome depression. Each patient case history is important to prescribe right medicine. In her case counseling may also be required. Please call over phone for detailed case history and right prescription.

From what you have mentioned it appears that you have been seeking help from multiple doctors and expecting a immediate solution.2 weeks treatment duration seems less for any drug and I doubt whether adequate dosages was given or not.
I would suggest you to take your mother for psychiatric consultation and get evaluated in detail.
It's better to rule out associated medical illness if any.
Do not lose hope.There are multiple options available for treatment.kindly discuss with your psychiatrist regarding it.Its takes time for the medicines to show it's effect.
If highly suicidal,and if rapid improvement is needed then there are options for that too.

For depression to be treated it takes at least 4 to 6 weeks for the medicines to show effect. 15 days course of any medicine seems less. If she is suicidal at this point of time she needs psychiatric attention in person.
