Confirm your doctor what is triple vaccine first... because most of the center replaced with pentavac nowadays..event for pentavac in layman words they call triple vac in some center... however if pentavac was not given.. they must have given 2 site vaccines containing hep b also...before anything re confirm with your vaccinated center first..

Triple vaccine- DPT -diptheria,pertussis ,tetanus. Penta vaccine- DPT+ HIB + hepatitis b Penta is better vaccine .Given 3 times before 6 months of age Full vaccination schedule can be downloaded from www.indianpediatrics.net Both vaccine will cause some fever and swelling at site and both are given in govt hospitals. Penta gives added protection against Hib - H influenza type B- an organism causing chest and brain infection in 6 months to 2 yr old babies. Hep B is against a bad type of jaundice spread through blood products .

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  Triple vaccine is just DPT. DPT contains Diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus toxoid. Just the other two are not there. Consult a pediatrician in person for further evaluation and management. Best regards. Dr. Anil kumar jain. Bangalore.
