Tear production is a continuous process,to keep the eyes moist, otherwise they will be dry,and child will lose vision. Tears increase in response to physical, chemical or emotional stimulus. Copious amounts of tears are not mandatory for protection of the eyes. But still,no harm in consulting your eye surgeon.
