Nose Blockage
I am having cold for past few weeks , while sleeping one nostril gets blocked always, even when i try to blow to clear it does not open. specially it happens mostly on right nostril.
Have used Otrivin few times when it becomes really bad , to open it.
When nose opens it causes itching inside and 3 -4 sneezes follow.
Taking steam daily but no respite.

Hello! Your problem could be chronic sinusitis with or without allergic rhinitis. You will need a diagnostic nasal endoscopy and a ct scan of the nose and paranasal sinuses to evaluate further to determine if you have any other anatomical problems in the nose like a deviated nasl septum. Otrivin or nasivion or any such drops shouldn't be used for long periods of time as they cause rebound congestion. A topical steroid nasal spray can be useful.
