Not getting periods.
Hi dr. I m 26yr old n my weight is 102kg. 6months ago i have delivered baby boy through c section. Still i didn't get my periods. What to do. Please suggest. Is it normal. Earlier my periods was regular.

Depending upon individual it gets delayed but if you are not using any protection make sure you are not pregnant too

It is lactational amenorrhea,,, which is very common in lactating mother If possibility of pregnancy then check for urine pregnancy test Otherwise relax. And enjoy motherhood

Hi. When the baby is exclusively breast fed there can be delay in cycles to resume . But You are overweight also please start some excercises in your home only .

In 20 % of women   after delivery if exclusive breastfeeding amenorrhea  can occurs but  if not breastfeeding exclusively menstruation  can occur any time  even within 6 week of delivery . Some time ovulation do occur  during lactational amenorrhea . Just do a pregnancy test to clear your doubt and consult a gynaecologist

When u r exclusively breast feeding ur baby, u dont ovulate and dont get periods. That is completely ok. Only concen is, do not have unprotected coital activity thinking No periods - No pregnancy. Because if u ovulate in between then u may conceive unknowingly.
