Recently I was diagnosed with occipital neuralgia and the symptoms are mild for me. Like a tingling sensation on head and sometimes feeling a tight inside scalp. So when I use finger to tap on my right back head side, I get this sudden pain (only when tapping). So is there any exercise or therapy to improve this condition? Thanks

Consultant neurologist and take medication also at the same time modify your working position to relieve the pressure from that area , Focus more on your head posture , in your case I think initially medication is required to reduce inflammation of nerve if it's there
Apply ice therapy: Ice may reduce local inflammation and relieve pain.
Give your self a neck massage:apply gentle pressure from your finger tips at base of your skull.
Do chin tucks regularly.
