OCD, anxiety, derealisation
Hi, i am suffering from ocd which is not related to physical compulsions like washing hands etc, its basically conflicting thoughts and doubts which raise anxiety, shake my beliefs, break my confidence and spiral me into a rumination mode.. This has been happening since 20 years or so for whatever i was passionate about.. Such thoughts dont come now but all the older ocd thoughts are still stuck inside somewhere in the sub councious, my thinking is very muddy and feel foggy always.. I feel trapped inside my own brain and unable to express anything. Derealisation is what i read about online and that kind of feeling is there from always since birth maybe.. Never felt space around me and feel disconnected from my surroundings. I have tried many treatments including anti depressants which i have stopped completely six months back.. I want to try homeopathy, which i have tried earlier too.. I am going to start anacardium orientale 200, ignatia 200 and kali phos 6x, please suggest.

Derealization and the kind of ocd symptoms or obsessive thoughts your are mentioning are not medical symptoms anymore. You only need psychotherapy. There are various aspects to psychological symptoms, ranging from medical to philosophical. Your ocd seems to be more related to your overall mental state of persistent unhappiness and existential anxiety. Your age of 41 years is ripe enough to deal with existential feelings. In early, young age of around 20, mind is not mature enough to deal with life's deeper issues. There are many thoughts and ideas to which we can get obsessed, and that too from very early in life. I have seen children from 8 years onwards who get occupied with thoughts of meaninglessness of life. So you also seem to be undergoing similar life patterns or thoughts. Try to see your symptoms placed within your overall life from a broader perspective , rather than merely medical. Allopathy is sufficient to work on ocd, but if that doesn't work, you must take regular psychotherapy. This is the only solution for you.
Next Steps
keep consulting a psychotherapist regularly.
Health Tips
psychological symptoms have a much broader meaning than being purely medical symptoms.
