Often Blood in stool & burn in stomach
Hello Sir, My mother is suffering (not severe) with burn in stomach and blood in the stool when she eat masala (indian spices) and spicy food for 2-3 days continuously. But it is reducing when she comes back to normal spice less diet for 3 days again. I am worried after listening about the blood in stool and want to understand which specialist doctor we have to consult, or is it normal when we eat spicy food. Please suggest. Thanks in advance.

Hello there. I can understand your concern. She needs to avoid oily and spicy foods. She needs to drink plenty of fluids. Have a high fiber diet. Avoid tea/coffee/carbonated drinks/maida etc. Best regards. Dr. Anil Kumar Jain. Bangalore.
