The throat is the crossroads to nose, ears, mouth, lungs and stomach. Any nasal infection or allergy causes postnasal drip which causes cough, lung infections, irritation or allergies(and asthma) cause cough, gastric acid reflux can also cause cough. So, only a proper clinical assessment by a trained and experienced ENT Specialist can isolate the cause of the cough and its resolution can only then be remedied.
