Oral ulcer on the left edge of tongue
Hi, I am having oral ulcer on the left edge of my tongue for the past 2 days. Yesterday, I visited my dentist and he prescribed me 1) Metrogyl DS Gel , 2)Tab Zincovit and 3) Clohex ADS mouthwash. I am having acute pain and burning sensation even if water touches that part. I am applying the given medicines, and on cold semi solid diet without oil and spice. Pl suggest me any remedies.

Hallo, mouth ulcers can be due to different causes ,may be due to biting the tongue ,a sharp tooth, stress, strong antibiotics, taking citirus fruits or other foods with high acidity content....for most  people mouth ulcers clear within 14 days,....if you  have severe pain I suggest you to use kenacort oral ointment on ulceration area thrice daily instead of metrogyl dg gel..for 5 days followed by other medication prescribed by your doctor
Next Steps
make sure to have an appointment with doctor for the follow up
Health Tips
drink plenty of water, avoid too spicy foods, apply ice cube to ulcer for temporary relif, over the counter use oral pain relivers
