Osteoma of right ear
My mother has a inflammation in the right ear.Doctor diagnosed her with osteoma.I wanted to ask if is it necessary that the person has to be operated.Because i have visited 3 doctors and they all have told that we need to operate,though we are a bit skeptical about it.i have attached the image of reports of HRCT temporal bone and X ray of mastoids schullers Pls suggest.

Osteoma is a bony tumour.. report shows she has mastoiditis..these two are different..I assumed she might have perforation in her ear drum and doctor advised for tympanoplasty..
