pain with swelling is commonly caused by sprain ,injury ,arthritis ,or continuous stress load . it is mandatory to examine for any vascular or neurological changes. x ray may also be needed to rule out stress injury. whatever may be the problem ,treatment should be initiated at the earliest depending on the diagnosis. so consult senior physiotherapist specialised in orthopaedics to get your treatment advice .
