I broke my ankle 3 and 1/2 months ago. It was a trimalleolar fracture, had surgery with a plate and several screws implanted. Started with hard cast, then walking boot. I went back to work on 2/6/18 (approx 2 and 1/2 months), later and followed up with therapy. I was doing well. My job requires me to be on my feet most of the time.

Consolidation of a fracture will take 6 to 18 months. Nevertheless, long standing jobs will aggravate swelling and a little pain. Would suggest contrast bath, which means u take 2 buckets of water one hot and one cold. Dip both ur feet in hot for 1 minute, then immediately in cold for 1 minute and continue this for 8-10 mins. Do it thrice a day. You’ll definitely have relief
