Pain in epigastric region & diarrhea

Asked for Female, 65 Years

Dr am suffering from episodic epigastric pain since 2 days bloatings and from yesterday am having watery diarrhoea 4-5 episodes till now Rx. Rantac 150mg. Bd Sucral -o syrup. TID SPOROLAC sachet Am worried because of loose motions & upper abdominal pain. Do i need antibiotics plz kindly tell

It is more likely infection related diarrhoea. Most are self-limited. Take ORS and plenty of liquids. Rantac and sucral are to avoided. A course of antibiotics needed if fever present.
