Sometimes rib fractures cannot be diagnosed on xeays. So unless proved otherwise you should take it as rib fractures. Only CT scan can diagnose these. However meet a physiotherapist and do deep breathing exercises. These pains take nearly 3 months to disappear

Even if there is no fracture in x-ray, this kind of trauma hurts a lot for like 4-6 weeks. It will reduce gradually over the time. You need to relax first, don’t panic. Also if it has any blunt trauma to lungs you would have developed other complaints also.
Next Steps
Please visit nearby Orthopaedic Surgeon, he may prescribe you rib belt in addition to medicines.
Health Tips
You can do hot fomentation after applying gel for 2-3 times a day till then.

Start using elastic rib belt. Generally blunt trauma chest takes time to get better 3 -4 weeks. If pain is severe or not settling down after 15 days get a CT scan done and show it to a orthopedic surgeon again.
