Pain in lower back
4 days ago I was doing stretching excercise. At that time I felt nothing. But a day after in the morning my lower back started to pain. Since then I have stopped the excercise. But my back becomes stiff every morning and pains alot. Yesterday I checked there was little swelling on the left side of my back in the middle. I applied cooling pad . Now the swelling is gone but the pain is still there. It hurts when I bend down or lie on bed. What should I do to stop the pain . Is it serious or would go away in few days?

Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

Firstly it depends upon the type of stretching exercise you were doing which caused this pain. There are possibilities sometimes that you may pull some of muscle fibers and that created the swelling. Also it may may be some facet lock which can pain even while turning in bed. Get your posture assessed by a physiotherapist and a simple manipulation can relief you completely
Next Steps
apply ice , take proper physiotherapy
Health Tips
manipulation should be done by proper osteopath or chiro practitioner. don't get it done by non- professionals.
