Pain in pelvic and burning urine
From few days my 4.7 yrs old son had a complain of mucus with blood in stool but from 2 days he is on antibiotics for that but from yesterday he is telling pain while urinating maybe burning.can renalka syrup be given to him or how. What can be done. Have attached the prescription also. Is it due to less intake of water causing this to him.

Hi, Pain could be due to reduced water intake.
Next Steps
Give plenty of liquids/ juices/ water frequently. Get a urine test to rule out infection.

Don't give renalka may cause electrolyte disturbance Advised normal oral diet with plenty of water, Good genital hygiene. Urine routine and urine culture can be given.

Thank you for your question. It can be due to decreased water intake, but it can be due to side effect of antibiotic too. I would suggest to go for a urine routine test
