Pain under feet
My mother is having pain under her feet on the heels portion for 4 months..she experience that pain while she lie on bed and she doesnot have that pain while walking..why is it doctor??

Hello dear There is something you need to clarify: whether she develops that pain whenever she lies down on the bed or she develops it after she has lied down for a few hours like after waking up in the morning. Both have different meanings. The latter situation is suggestive of a condition called plantar fascitis and the former is possibly cause of a localised sore there. Regards Dr Vipin Gupta

There is a possibility of local inflammation around the muscles of heel which might be causing the trouble..
Next Steps
I will suggest to start Hot fomentation,  analgesic for pain relief, local analgesic ointment..  Ankle movement exercises,  active toe movements for 15-20 min. for 3 to 4 times a day..

Avoid heavy work.. Avoid sitting down.. avoid standing for a long time..
