Pain may be due to deep cavity in the teeth...you need to go for complete clinical and radiological investigation of the teeth...if the caries reaches pulp then you need to go for Root canal treatment of the teeth..

The pain must have been due to long term carious exposure. Tablets can be a temporary relief to your problem but u need to treat it's causative factor for a permanent relief !
