Why pain and swelling at fracture and above knee area ?
I had fracture in left tibia upperside.after 6 week cast is removed. But feeling pain at fracture side after cast removing . And upperside of knee is swelled.
Doctor said just move your foot not more than 80-90 degree . Then physiotherapy will begin.

Stiffness and swelling are cast replated problems.
Pain away from fracture site is normally due to stuff muscles and capsule.
Pain at fracture site worries me as by 6 weeks bone heals up.
