Hi I got my periods after 6 months by having prgestrone tablets. I was advised to do pelvic scan again.. Can you explain me why? please

Hi, PCOS is marked by irregular periods and amenorrhoea at times.An ultrasound scan confirms Pcod as ovaries show the multiple cysts. Also do the hormonal Pcod panel tests. Must also see for diabetes and thyroid profile.Cobsult a Gynaec for treatment for the same.

If you have PCOS then periods can be delayed . But its advisable to get atleast 4 periods in a year . Also check ur thyroid and prolactin levels . Weight loss and Diet management are important for PCOS women

     If  you are  getting your periods after 6 month  and only  with progesterone , there must be some hormonal imbalance .    I think  you need   some more investigations along with  ultrasound  to rule out  PCOS
