PCOS, month long period,emotional stress
I am a 27 year old girl who has a month long period still going on. I have had PCOS for almost 11 years now. I have gone through months where I didn't have my period and this few weeks I have had my periods for almost a month and half. I got a TVS ultrasound that showed endometrium to be 1.10 cm thick and pcos. I have been under tremendous emotional stress lately. I am afraid that my doctor is taking this lightly as she just gave me a birth control pill and asked to take it. the first day i took the pill , the period was gone. The second day I took it, again had an episode of stress/ emotional burst and periods started again. It is not like major flow, just that everytime I go to the bathroom I see blood and at times thick mucous when I wipe myself.I am overweight, which I am trying to control.

pcos is mainly a hormonal disorder associated with hyperandrogenism/insulin resistance/infertility/weight gain.... first line of management is weight control and  lifestyle modification. hormonal pills containing cyproterone acetate / drosperinone are used along with insulin sensitizers like myoinositol/ chiroinositol and other new medicines. for conception ovulation induction protocols are started among which letrozole is having good results compared to clomiphene... so better visit good infertility speciatist for proper management and care
Next Steps
better to consult infertility specialist
