My baby is 8 months old. We took all basic vaccination. We didn't go for PCV vaccine till now. I have few doubts, please give me clarification.
1. Is PCV vaccine crucial or good one to tkae
2. After 8 months can we go for PCV vaccine for my baby
3. How many dose and what interval we should take it those

1. Pcv ie pneumococcal vaccine is important. Pneumococcus causes more than 4 lakh deaths in children under 5 years as per UNICEF. Currently, it's the number one cause of death in children. Even Government has now included this vaccine in government hospitals.
You can give pcv to your 8 months baby. Baby will need 3 doses at 8 months, 9 months and booster dose at 1 yr 6 months
