Persistent cough
I have persistent cough since 8 months its gets too worse that its leading to vomiting I have gone to doctor tb test was negative then my x ray showed lower lobe subsegmental pulmonary consolidation then I used some medicine it was cured when I used medicines then again reappeared then again I went to another doctor then she tod it might be due to some gastric problem and asked me stop using certain spicy foods and aerated drinks and my cough is still there getting worse during night leading to vomiting sometimes I am eating spicy food and its getting worse

Hi Do sputum AFB testing and CT chest. And consult pulmonologist

Persistent cough is usually common with gastric upset. But x ray abnormality is not a common one. Go for CT scan of the chest for further diagnosis. Till then continue your anti acidity medicines and dietary modifications as advised by other consultants.

Please see a pulmonologist. In the meanwhile avoid spicy , oily food. Avoid caffiene, chocolates, alcohol. Sit upright for atleast 3 hours after a meal before you lay down on bed.

If the shadows on Chest X ray are coming again and again we need to rule out allergic reactions to specific fungus which presents as asthma with shadows on chest x ray. Please talk to a pulmonologist and get an entire examination done...
