Pigmented Nevus Of Ota

I have consulted almost 5 dermatologist by now from fortis, apollo and private clinics. They have said only Q switch ND yag laser is a possible treatment and asked me to think and decide. This gives me a doubt and fear if this treatment have risks involved. Can anyone please clarify on this please.
I really want to fix my problem and no creams have done any help till date. Also no doctor could have answered why they have increased from just a small area to almost half of my face in last 1. 5 years suddenly.
