  3. Piles surgery. Being the"gold standard"?

I have read research articles stating unequivocally that traditional piles surgery is better then Stapling surgery keeping in mind the long term benefits and recurrences. Why is the Stapling surgery still carried out inspite of traditional surgery being the"gold standard"?
