Placenta position
My wife is 22 weeks pregnant.in recent ultrasound tha position of placenta is posterior and coming near to OS (22MM from OS). Moreover there is breech presentation. Is duphaston tablet helpful for placenta? Please reply Thanks

Don’t worry about the placental position because as the uterus grows the placenta tends to get pulled up along with the uterus. The baby keeps turning and there is no need to worry about the breech position at this gestation because most often again this gets corrected by 36weeks. The baby’s position at 36-38weeks will be more or less it’s position at the time of delivery Duphaston will not help in placental migration

Yes it helps repeat your scan after two three months to find out if the placenta is well about the intern os

Duphaston helps in immunomodulation  . Low lying placenta at this early gestation  migrate upwards in most of the case . N presentation too is variable at 22 weeks.
