Planning for pregnancy
Can i conceive in thyroid? Recently diagonised thryroid level 6.78, taking medication from one month. Thyronorm 25mg. Me and my husband tried intercouse during ovulation period. In Jan & Feb my cycle was 23 days but in Mar it is 26 days. My lmp is 21st mar. Suggest me please.

If it is beyond 1yr of trying then you must get a few investigations done to check all basic parameters Also since your cycle is slightly variable prediction of ovulation is not accurate in which case you can get sonography done to find out when you ovulate As long as your thyroid levels become normal after medicines it will not affect chances of pregnancy

Since how long you are trying to conceive..The chance of pregnancy per cycle is 20% & at the end of 1 year its 80% If it’s more than a year than the couple need to be investigated.. Initially husband’s semen analysis, For wife : USG lower abdomen, tubal patency estimation & hormonal profile .. When you are planning to conceive TSH should ideally be kept less than 2.5 .. Repeat TSH after 4 weeks & adjust the dose of Thyronorm
