Plantar fascitis
I had plantar fascitis in my right heel, it occured when I was wearing a very flat chappal on A very Rocky road, a pointed stone just got to my heel and i was limping immediately. The pain subsided and reoccured after few weeks and it became extremely difficult for me to walk, went to doc, told it was plantar fascitis, took steroid since pain was worse and painkillers were doing no good. But even after that was not completely well, got xray done and plantar fascitis was gone but still had pain. Continued with homeopathy medicines, cold therapy and exercises, and pain was subsiding. For few days, had extensive walk, missed exrecises and cold therapy, pain got back again immensely. Please tell me what is causing the pain and how to get rid of it? Is walking still the cause behind pain? How long does it actually take for it to heal?

Plantar fascitis is a self limiting condition. You don't have to worry about it. You need to take following precautions 1. Don't use hard sole chappal/shoes 2. If sole of chappal/shoe is hard insert silicon heel in shoe. Silicon heel you will get it in medical store 3. Take cold water and hot water in separate jar Put foot in cold and then hot , each 2 minutes Do it for 15 minutes Twice a day
Next Steps
It will take 4/6 weeks to pain go

Walking on flat surface may not be the cause for pain.  But walking on uneven surface with proper footwear can be one of the reasons As the pain is recurring it may be a good idea to get your uric acid and Vitamin D levels checked. Till then continue otc pain medication ice packs and very good padded footwear or sports shoes
