PM VSD of 3.5 mm
My 1 month old boy has been diagonised with an mal-aligned PM VSD hole of 3.5 mm.In medical terms is it considered large. I have a few questions regarding this 1> according to size ie measurement in mm how is it classified as small, moderate, large and very large 2> Is open heart surgery compulsory required in my sons case or else can it close on its own by some years 3> If at all surgery is required, arent there better options then open heart surgery, can u mention some

Decision of surgery depends upon the type (location) and size of vsd. So I think its better u see a cardiologist in person for details
