Doctor to doctor variation should be -0.25 Dioptre.get eyes number checked after dilatation by doctor.it may vary due to excess mobile or computer use also.lasik is safe option if it matches all requirements like thickness of cornea, topography, retinal condition and utmost important your number shouldn't be changing (increasing).if all are on then lasik is safe.
