Posible false-positive gonorrhea
Hello. About two weeks ago, I had tenderness in the testicles and a slight sharp pain in the urethra. I initially felt pain during intercourse with my partner who I have been in a committed and monogamous relationship with for almost a year. I wen to my PCP and my results came back as positive for gonorrhea. My partner swears that there has not been any infidelity and I do believe him. Is there a possibility of a false-positive or similar bacteria infection that can show up as gonorrhea?
