Possibly misdiagnosed as T1DM.
I have been diagnosed as T1DM but I am confused as it maybe T2DM. The doctor that I consulted with didn't suggest me C-Peptide Test. How can I be sure if I have T1DM and not T2DM. I am 21 currently. I am obese and have a family history of T2DMs.

Its commonly misdiagnosed by general practitioners. From the partial history that you gave type 2 is more likely. Though a detailed history and review of lab tests would be needed. Confirmatory lab tests may cost a lot and may not be needed. Basal C peptide is good enough to screen, though history is sufficient for a specialist
