Posterior capusular opacification
She has undergone a cataract surgery in the left eye..her vision was normal nd clear post d surgery till 10 days ..suddenly shes complaining about a cloudy nd hazy vision ..the doctor said she needs power glasses but that also will be prescribed after a month of surgery.. The cloudy vision is similar to that before the cataract surgery ..today its been 3 weeks post the surgery and still she complains of cloudy vision Is she in need of yag laser capsulotomy in coming months to get rid of the cloudy vision???

Hi.. So did they check the refraction ? Is it getting better with number ? If yes..it is ok.. Else ,if not improving when the doctor is checking too...then take a second opinion.

Yag laser is required usually after 1 year of cataract surgery. Capsular opacification can't develop this early. The cloudy vision that she is experiencing maybe because of need of a number as told to you by your doctor.
