Posterior epistaxis following phayngitis
I am having posterior epistaxis for last 4 days following an acute attack of pharyngitis 5 days back. I am taking oral azithromycin for pharyngitis and paracetamol for fever as directed by physician.i have to spit out mucous filled with blood.Does it resolve spontaneously following completion of treatment for pharyngitis?

You may be suffering from viral upper respiratory tract infection which is a common type of throat infection in this season. Violent coughing can cause injuries small blood vessels inside your airway leading scanty blood tinged sputum
