Postherpetic noralgia
I am 18 and I had shingles (Twice in eleven months) about 13 months ago, in my side and it seems to have left me with shooting nerve pain up my back as well as increased sensitivity and muscle deterioration, recently ( the past two weeks) the pain has gotten to be almost as bad as when I originally got shingles. I am trying to research next steps but there does not seem to be much, do i have any options? I am worried about my day to day functionality. thank you.

Hey if its shingles and twice in 1 yr time , u need to rule out immunodeficiency/ immune status need evaluated . Well for relief of post herpetic neuralgia many new drugs are available which can be used and dosage can be optimised under neurologist guidance .
