Potential Lung disease
Ever since February 2017, I have been feeling reasonably breathless. I have severe anxiety since last year and have neck, should, back and thigh muscle tightness which doctors claim are due to the anxiety and stress. I got a pulmonary test done yesterday and the results were: FVC (L) Pred - 3.5 Pre - 2.4 %Pre - 69% Post - 2.52 %prd - 72% %chng - 5% FEV1 (L) Pred - 3.12 Pre - 2.41 %Pre - 77% Post - 2.47 %prd - 79% %chng - 2% FEV1/FVC Pred - 0.89 Pre - 1.00 %Pre - 112% Post - 0.98 %prd -

Hello ! Your Pulmonary Function Test report seems fine.  It is essential to also have a look at the PFT graph before looking into just the values that you have posted . Most likely the breathlessness you have is psychogenic , due to your underlying anxiety and stress.  So kindly have those under control either with non pharmacological measures like yoga, music , meditation, etc .. or with anti - anxiety drugs.  With the proper treatment of your stress you will find your breathlessness vanishing.
