Pott's Spine (Tuberculous Spondylitis)
Respected Doctor, My mother suffered from TBM in last November and now is on ATT medicine since then. Now she has Pott's spine (MRI Done). Doctor doubted for MDR and wanted to perform CT Guided Aspiration of pus for culture but could not happen as the pus is sitting deep and unapproachable. So they performed small biopsy on tissues. They continued to give first line medicine as there is no evidence of MDR in biopsy. so, What can be done to drain the pus and obtain a strong evidence of MDR?

Hello there. I can understand your concern. Don't think too much. The doctor knows best for treatment of such things. Just take the medicines. TAB treatment is in two phases 1st - intensive and 2nd -continuation phase. The total duration of the course can last up to a year or even more. Nothing is being done in vain. Best regards. Dr. Anil Kumar Jain. Bangalore.
