My 9 yr old daughter has two cavities in milk teeth. One is very small and other is little deep. I am planning to get these filled. What precautions should i take before and after the procedure and which type of filling should I go for?

Hi Cavity in initial stage can be restored with permanent filling. If it's deep then it need xray to confirm the depth and filling accordingly. No precautions after permanent filling after some 15 mins you can consume food.

There are no such steps as a precautions especially by the patient side before filling except for a thorough brushing and mouth wash ... But after the filling care should be taken for revisiting the dentist for regular check up s once in 3months

Type of restoration depends on depth of the cavity ..... and duration of period upto which these teeth will remain!!!!!
Next Steps
Generally two types of restoration done by dentist now these days 1. composite restoration 2. GIC restoration
Health Tips
In composite restoration there is no need of precaution.. But for GIC 24 hours we have to wait to chew from that side .... you can chew from opposite side!!!

The dentist will suggest a proper filling for the milk tooth. And proper brushing and rinsing after meals is nessecary. One precaution is not to give chewing gums or things which a gummy consistency which can pull the filling out
