If period is regular and ouulation is on time then Bhcg before due date also gives accurate result.After missing the due date then do urine pregnancy test.If negative repeat after 3-4 days.

That depends on the day of ovulation. One can check with urine pregnancy test after missed period. And blood HCG helps in early diagnosis
