YES chances of pregnancy are there. While sperms are released at every sexual encounter, the ovum is produced just once a month and it's life is 24-48 hours, so if this act has not happened around your ovulation, then there is NOT much to worry If today is < 72 hours from the time of sex, you can still take an emergency contraceptive pill to prevent pregnancy. But if .72 hours have passed, then the ONLY way to be sure about NOT being pregnant is to see the next menses. IF you miss your period date, do a Urine Pregnancy test on an early morning sample in a lab and see the result. If positive, you are pregnant. If negative, you are NOT pregnant

Hi there...yes there are chances of you getting pregnant. It will also on which day of your menstrual cycle you had intercourse. Now there's nothing much you can do. If you miss your next menstrual cycle, then you can do a urine pregnancy test to confirm pregnancy. The kits are available in medical stores. For any further queries you can consult a obstetrician
