Despite taking Doxinate she seems to be vomiting incessantly....is wht I gather from ur history....
1)Increase the dose of Doxinate.... 1 in the morning empty stomach 2 at night empty stomach....and try giving her dry non spicy food, example toast n Jam works well..
2)water intake should be good
3) no improvement despite the above in a day..... She needs admission to hospital and further treatment
Next Steps
Talk to ur treating Gynecologist in case of no relief of symptoms
Hi.if doxinate is not working you give her tab Emeset 4 mg twice a day 30 min before food for 3 days Syp digene 10 ml after lunch . Stop doxinate . Start tab B- long daily once for 15 days and tab Mcbm 69 daily fr 30 days . Plenty of liquids what she likes .
It’s completely Norma to have nausea and vomitting in pregnancy.
She should take small frequent meals .
Take a toast or wheat bhakri in morning just after waking up . Avoid taking tea or coffee immediately after waking up . Folvite and doxinate are fine.
Regarding tests - cbc , urine routine micro examination, s.tsh , rbs ,hiv ,hbsag, Vdrl— all these are part of routine antenatal tests , for now .
You should get an ultrasound done if you haven’t got one yet . That’s very important.
Next Steps
If vomitting is not controlled with folvite and doxinate, you need consultation for other prescribed medicines.
Health Tips
If severe vomitting is there it’s called hyperemesis gravidarum , which requires caution.
