Do the scan as soon as possible. Folic acid can be taken even three months before conception

Ideally  first scan should be done  as soon as possible. This is to confirm whether pregnancy is intrauterine or extrauterine. Folic acid 5mg should be started 1month prior to planning pregnancy  and should be continue for 3 month after confirmation of pregnancy

Once pregnancy detected on Urine pregnancy test, 1 should do Early pregnancy confirmation scan as soon as possible.  This scan is to see the location of pregnancy (Uterine or Extra Uterine). Folic acid ideally shud be taken 90 days preconceptionally and to be continued 90days after conception.
