Hello I Had follicular monitoring this month on 23rd 14th day of my cycle. Then my doctor has me injection 23rd and told us to keep relation for next 2 days. My follicle where one end 27mm and other 28mm. Is there any chances of pregnancy. We are planning for pregnancy

1. Your follicle had been fine. The injection induces changes that matures the egg & ultimately induces ovulation. 2. Yes, you have chances of conception. 3. This method of treatment, is called Ovarian stimulation + follicular study with timed intercourse. You might have even taken a 5 day course of a medicine starting from D2/3/4/5. This medicine is helpful in inducing follicular growth, development of the lining of the uterus & ovulation. This method of treatment works best if duration of infertility is short, both the partners are young & healthy, good ovarian reserve, if both fallopian tubes are open and finally if semen analysis is normal. Since this is the simplest treatment strategy, it is used in uncomplicated cases, young couples - the success rates are not very high per cycle. That is why you may require 4-6 such treatment cycles for a reasonable success rate.
