I would advise you to meet your treating obstetrician so that you can be evaluated and given a safe drug during your pregnancy. These following steps may help: - You should maintain a healthy weight - Take up gentle exercise, like walking, swimming, or doing yoga, for 30 minutes per day 5 days per week.(Don't over strain) - Instead of eating 3 large meals, eat 5 or 6 smaller meals. When you eat small meals throughout the day, your stomach has to produce less acid to digest the food. - Avoid spicy, oily food, deep fried, excessive sugar treats, onions, garlic, sausage, pepper, tomato, and citrus fruits. - Cold foods and drinks are less pungent than hot ones and may be less likely to trigger your gag reflex. - Aim at drinking 2.7 liters per day, take small sips rather than large gulps, which may contribute to your nauseousness. - Destress yourself through practices such as yoga, meditation, - Rest plenty - Wear loose comfortable clothes - Avoid anything that triggers your gag reflex such as increased sound, perfumes, etc.
