Asked for Female, 25 Years

Hi Iam pregnant,my LMP 1/6/2016.on 1/8/2016 I went for 1st u/s the baby heart beat was 171 b/min n fetus length is 15 mm.dr said it's normal n my scan shows only 8w 0d(1w late) why?and there is another scan within 5 weeks(NT scan).some of our friends telling heart rate below 140 is boy, above 140 is girl is it true ?

1. Pregnancy date: it may vary during every ultrasound you do. But at 14-15 week after doing your anomaly scan if it's more or less than 10 days of your menstrual expected date than you should consider it. Otherwise your expected date with LMP should be considered. According to 1/6/16 your due date is 8/3/17. 2. NT scan must be done between 11-14 weeks to rule out high risk of Down's syndrome and other trisomies. 3. Heart rate may vary and initial age it's high Upto 180-190 than decrease and settled but no any relationship with sex of fetus.. Thanks for question.
