Prerequisite to get abdomen ultrasound

Hi, sir. Can you please let us know the prerequisite to get abdomen ultrasound done. This is the request from Gastroenterologist for high acidity and gas problem. For ultrasound do we have to go empty stomach or should be done in morning or evening.

Empty stomach and morning , you may take regular medicine for BP and thyroid with sip of water in the morning but avoid diabetes medication.

It can be done at any time if it's emergency. For elective scan better to go on empty stomach, as gall bladder can be better visualised.
