Prolonged Neck sprains
Persistent neck sprain (left side only) since few weeks with infrequent mild ear ache. Increased pain every morning. Attimes spreads towards the shoulder and arms later in the evening. Hot water pack is a temporary relief.

It could be cervical spondylosis  get the x ray done and wear the collar and take pain killer for relief
